Circle C Ranch
Southwest AustinMedian ~$814K
A large master-planned community built around family amenities, greenbelt trails and strong Austin ISD schools.
History
Gary Bradley began developing Circle C in 1982, with the first homes finished in 1986. Its location over the Edwards Aquifer near Barton Springs made it the center of a long environmental legal fight, and its later annexation by Austin became a landmark case for municipal annexation rights in Texas.
Where it is
It sits in ZIP 78739 just west of MoPac in southwest Austin, next to Circle C Ranch Metropolitan Park and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The community covers about 7.2 square miles with more than 5,600 homes and roughly 15,000 residents.
Living there
The homeowners association runs pools, a swim program and a community center. Public transit does not reach the area directly, so plan on driving. The upside is space, trails and a very neighborly, family-heavy feel.
