   Nature Festival at Dottie Jordan park on Loyola Ln, Sunday Nov 1 at 2pm. There's a free tree giveaway, bilingual storytime, garden tours and live music. It's on their Facebook event, park number is (512) 974-6700.

   Free trees in November is perfect timing, fall is the best time to plant here. Go early if you want one.

   Plant native, save water, stop volcano mulching.

   That park is a gem and most people never go out that way. Glad it's getting some attention.

   Been here long enough to remember when Manor Rd was quiet.
