Ethereal Horror Fest is at Violet Crown Cinema, 434 W 2nd Street, Friday October 16 through Sunday October 18, with multiple screening blocks across the weekend. It is an indie festival built around independent and underground horror, thriller, and dark fantasy work, so expect rising filmmakers and screenwriters rather than studio titles. Screening times, short film blocks, and panels are listed on the Community Impact events calendar: https://communityimpact.com

Mid October at Violet Crown is good timing. Downtown, walkable to dinner, and the room is comfortable for back to back blocks.

Loving the Austin sunshine and Texas barbecue!

The short film blocks are usually where these festivals earn the ticket. Easier to take a chance on a 12 minute film than a feature from someone you have never heard of.

See you at the 3rd crossing.

Any word on whether the panels are included with a block ticket or sold separately?

The calendar listing is the place to check once the full schedule posts. Panels and screenings are often ticketed differently.

Three days of blocks means you can do one evening and still feel like you went. Worth building a night around it.
