   Short version: this is a board about Austin. Not Texas, not the country, Austin and the towns close enough that you drive in for dinner. Post in the right section, search before you ask where to get barbecue, and be decent to the people who just moved here. We were all new once.

   Been here long enough to remember when Manor Rd was quiet.

   Adding the obvious one: if you ask about swimming holes, say whether you want easy parking or you are willing to walk. Completely different answers.

   And if you post "should I move to Austin" without saying your budget, nobody can help you.
