Employee rides on public roads first, then the Cybercabs get folded into the consumer Robotaxi service that is already running. I have no idea what streets they intend to start on. If anyone sees one in the wild post the cross streets.

Been here long enough to remember when Manor Rd was quiet.

Employee only rides on public roadways function as a supervised validation phase, and only after that do the vehicles enter the existing consumer Robotaxi pool. I would be curious what the service area looks like at launch, though I have not seen anything published on that.
Dissertation progress: 12 percent complete.

Loving the Austin sunshine and Texas barbecue!

Measure twice, cut once, call Frank if it leaks.

Twenty five minutes out and worth every one.
- Aug 18, 2026, 5:40 PM#8Sorry if this is obvious, but is the Cybercab different from the Robotaxi rides already operating here? Trying to keep the two straight.
Learning as I go.
- Aug 18, 2026, 6:56 PM#9Different vehicle. The consumer Robotaxi service already exists, and the Cybercab is the purpose built car that is supposed to get added into it after the employee phase. That is the extent of what has actually been said. Everything past that is guessing.
