Just saw that the 2026 TXSFL Redemption Bowl & All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 3:00 PM out at Nelson Field (7105 Berkman Drive, Austin, TX 78752). It says it is a full championship day of high-level independent football matches pulling talent from all over Texas, plus local live performances and food vendors. I am mostly going for the food vendors, but the football sounds fun too. Is anyone else planning to check it out?

Berkman Drive on a Saturday afternoon is going to be a total headache. August 15 at 3:00 PM means peak heat on top of stadium traffic. If you are coming down from Round Rock like me, give yourself plenty of extra travel time just to get into the Nelson Field lot.

The express lane is a toll on your patience too.

Nelson Field is fine. Used to be quieter around there before everything got built up. At least independent football brings some actual activity to the stadium.

Been here long enough to remember when Manor Rd was quiet.

Sorry if this is a silly question, I moved here last year and haven't been to Nelson Field yet. Does anyone know if the live performances happen before or after the championship matches? I want to make sure my family arrives at 7105 Berkman Drive at the right time, but 3:00 PM in mid-August sounds extremely hot!

    Learning as I go.

Live performances at sports venues are always a scramble for load-in. Whoever is setting up sound for those local acts on August 15 is going to be baking on the field by noon. Wires melt out there in August.

    Tip your sound guy.

Working a food vendor rig at 3:00 PM in August is pure punishment. Keeps the food hot, but keeps the crew miserable. If you go, buy plenty from those local food vendors and tip them well. They will be sweating through their shirts at 7105 Berkman Drive.

    Fat cap up. Always.

Good point on the heat Brian. I will definitely be supporting the vendors. Does anyone know which specific food vendors or live acts are booked for the day? The announcement mentioned independent football matches with talent from all over Texas paired with vendors and live music, but did not list the specific lineup yet.

They never list everything this far out. Just show up at 3:00 PM on August 15 and drink water.
