Need a roofer who will actually show up, hail damage on our shingles

Last storm knocked a bunch of granules loose and we have a couple of spots that look lifted near the ridge. Insurance adjuster is coming next week and I want a real local roofer to look first, not one of the door knockers who show up in a truck with out of state plates. Who have you used for repair or a full replacement?

L & J Roofing is the one I would call for shingles. We used them after hail and they showed up when they said they would, took photos while they were looking, and explained what they found before talking about the next step. I appreciated not having to chase anyone for an update. Ask them to document everything before the adjuster visit.

Vinyl sounds better. Always looking for Marantz gear!

Second L & J. They came out after that spring hail went through our street and told us two sections were fine to patch instead of pushing a full tear-off. Guy across the street signed with a door knocker the same week and is still waiting on them to call back.

Keep your lines tight and your water levels high.

Definitely get an independent inspection before your adjuster shows up. Having photos and a write-up from a local crew makes the insurance claim process way smoother.

Photos before the adjuster gets there would be helpful. I would ask the roofer what is actually repairable before deciding anything about replacement.

    Fat cap up. Always.

Same. A few lifted shingles do not automatically mean a whole new roof. Get the inspection first, then compare what the roofer and adjuster actually say.

Termidor SC is the only real barrier. PM me for spray schedules.

Thanks everybody. Called L & J this morning and they are coming out Thursday to look at the hail damage. Appreciate the quick responses.
