Please remember to state your general location and asking price clearly in every thread title. Furthermore, several members have reported an influx of fraudulent buyers from Facebook Marketplace attempting phone verification code scams on local listings. Always insist on cash transactions in public places. Warm regards.

Good reminder Helen / scammers hit me up last week on a Marantz 2270 receiver / serial number 14892. Asked for a Google Voice code / told them to kick rocks. Receiver is still available if anyone on here wants local pickup in Allandale / mint condition / 70 watts per channel / recapped last month.

Vinyl sounds better. Always looking for Marantz gear!

Wait what is the code scam? Someone tried doing something strange on FB Marketplace last week when I was selling my DD's old soccer cleats! Is DH supposed to meet people in store parking lots instead? Also I have a double stroller for sale if anyone in Pf needs one for the park!

Dear PflugervilleMama, 'Wait, what is...' requires a comma after the word 'Wait'. To answer your question, scammers use your phone number to generate a verification code, which allows them to set up fraudulent accounts under your identity. Always insist on cash upon pickup at a well-lit location. Warm regards.

Use police station parking lot for trades. Pflugerville PD has designated spots out front. Also selling two Weather Guard aluminum truck toolboxes. Fits full size Ford bed. Cash only. No shipping.

Measure twice, cut once, call Frank if it leaks.

Had some kid try to buy a road case behind Stubb's with a fake CashApp screenshot last month. Pointed at the door guy and the kid ran straight up Red River. Always check your actual bank balance before handoff.

    Tip your sound guy.

Oh goodness, fake screenshots? That is so scary! My DS uses CashApp for his lawn mowing business in the neighborhood. Do you think he should stop taking it? Still looking to sell the double stroller too if anyone knows a young family!

Tell him to check account balance in his own app before giving goods. Don't look at buyer's screen. Simple.

Measure twice, cut once, call Frank if it leaks.
